Recovering from the Weekend
This weekend I found myself with no shortage of things to do. Simone's school was a featured stop on the 2017 Beverly Art Walk. We hosted our annual I Madonna sidewalk chalk art event. There were some pretty awesome professional and novice artists out there. The weather held up for most of the day and Bernard even got a piece of the action.
Sunday was Women's Day at my church (Victory Apostolic). This service is always one of the most uplifting and inspirational events at my church, in my humble opinion. This year did not disappoint. Our guest speaker has survived stage four cancer of the small intestine. She has been through so much, and yet she was able to stand before us on Sunday. Nothing but God. All I can say is there is nothing too hard for God.
After church, I took Simone to a fun birthday/costume party for one of her classmates. She dressed up as a unicorn. She really is a unicorn. The kids mostly ran around outside, laughing, chasing each other, just being kids. Such fun.
We slept in on the extra day off. Had a greasy, delicious lunch and a neighborhood spot, Then we went to see the My Little Pony movie. Not really my thing but Simone loved it.
